March 2024 Message from The Pastor’s Wife, Sis. Alene Stanley

Ladies of the Well,

Our Prayer Brunch will take place on Saturday, March 9^th at 10am. The theme is Closet Keepers: Seeing the Manifestation of God’s Word through Prayer. If you have not already purchased a ticket, please get one for yourself and a friend. Also, the book that will be referenced is What Happens When Women Pray by Evelyn Christenson.

The first day of spring is Tuesday, March 19th.  And many of us will focus on spring cleaning our homes, but in addition, let us also examine our spiritual lives to determine the areas where some dusting, sweeping, and mopping are needed. Increasing our prayer life, reading/meditating on the Word of God and attending church services regularly are ways to refresh, restore, re-energize our walk and commitment to God.

Save the Date: April 13^th from 10am to 3pm, our first “Sisters in Christ are Sisters for Life” gathering will take place in the Pre School Cafeteria.

This fellowship will be exceptional because there will be women from all ethnic background, denominations, and church affiliations. So, plan to attend, and do not forget to invite your neighbor, family, and friends.

Now a word of encouragement entitled “God Is Faithful.” In Lamentations 3:22-23 it says His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Three hundred and seventy-one days after the Flood began, “God said to Noah, ‘Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives’” (Gen. 8:15, NIV). We can almost hear the “Hallelujah Chorus” playing in the background! What a day of rejoicing that must have been! God had been faithful to see him through!

My sisters, God has not changed. If He was faithful to watch over Noah and all those within the ark, bringing them safely through the storm, He will do the same for you. Just as He was faithful to preserve Joseph through thirteen years of slavery in Potiphar’s house and Pharaoh’s prison, just as He was faithful to preserve the little baby Moses floating on the Nile . . . God will be faithful to you. Why? Because God is faithful! He cannot be less than Himself! Always, keep your focus on God’s faithfulness and on God’s greatness!
