Pastor’s Perspective November 2026

Pastor’s Perspective November 2026

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. (Ps. 105: 1)

Hopewell, as we enter the month of November, or as the late Deacon Marvin Lowe Sr. would say, the eleventh mile of the year, we have so much for which to be thankful, both individually and collectively. In spite of the battles we have encountered and the bereavements we have experienced, God has continued to shower us with His blessings.

This is the exhortation David declares in Psalms 105:1. He reminds Israel to remember how good God has been throughout their history. David encourages them to call upon the name of the One who piloted, provided, and protected them every step of the way. David then urges them to proclaim God’s mighty and magnificent works among the people.

Hopewell, this is my challenge to each of us as we navigate the uncharted waters of November. Let us, in the words of Peter in 1 Peter 2:9, “show forth the praises of him who hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.” With thankful hearts, let us declare God’s goodness and demonstrate His kindness to everyone we encounter. It is possible that, for a particular individual, you may be the only person who shows genuine thoughtfulness and care.

With this in mind, let us work together to make this year’s Thanksgiving Feast drive-thru a tremendous success. I would like to thank Rev. Jimmie Habersham and the Outreach Ministry for their fresh approach to serving our community while offering prayer, encouragement, and support. I believe many lives and hearts will be strengthened and, prayerfully, transformed through this effort. I encourage everyone who is available to participate and help make a difference. Thank you!

This month, we will also celebrate the first anniversary of our 3G Ministry. I would like to thank Minister Joshua and Kimberly Stanley, along with the entire 3G Ministry team, for their outstanding leadership and dedicated service. Under their guidance, the ministry has grown spiritually, numerically, and financially and is poised to become an invaluable asset to this great church. I am confident that our founders would be pleased to see the progress Hopewell continues to make.

Therefore, on November 15th, the third Sunday, the 3G Ministry will celebrate its anniversary during the 9:30 AM worship service at Hopewell East. The 3G ministry will be in charge of the service, and our guest speaker will be Rev. Raymond Jackson of Palm Beach, Florida. I am asking every member to invite someone to join us for this historic celebration as we worship and thank God for the impact of the 3G Ministry.

Hopewell, I also want to thank each of you for your continual financial support as we eliminate our mortgage. Prayerfully, we will meet our desired goal by December. Thank you!

And as always Hopewell, I ask that you continue to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Progressing with a Fresh Divine Directive,

Pastor R.C. Stanley
