Pastor’s Perspective September 2021

Pastor’s Perspective September 2021

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

                                                                                                (Psalm 124:1)

Hopewell, it is evident that God continues to bestow His favor and blessings upon us as we regather in incorporate worship. I want to thank everyone who has made the decision to be a part of our in-person worship. While shelter in placed worship continues to be the choice for many, it will never replace the joy of in person worship and fellowship. So, I am compelled to encourage everyone who has not regathered to please consider being a part of in person worship at least once or twice a month. As the writer of Hebrews declares in Hebrews 10:25: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

However, I want to thank everyone for your faithfulness during this deadly COVID-19 pandemic, because of your commitment to your stewardship obligation we continue to be financially secure. I also, want to thank all of our Officers, Leaders, and members for your commitment to maintaining our Zoom ministry classes, it is vital to the spiritual growth and stability of the church.

Again, I want to thank everyone for accepting the challenge to reducing the mortgage to under a Million Dollar, and now I am challenging everyone to continue to be faithful to the Kingdom Building by Birth and we will reach our goal of eliminating the mortgage in three (3) years.

As you know this is the month, we celebrate the Pastor and First Family’s 32nd Pastoral Anniversary. Hopewell, I am extremely humbled by this wonderful privilege I have had for thirty-two (32) years to provide leadership for this outstanding congregation.
