Pastor’s Perspective September 2023

Pastor’s Perspective September 2023

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

Hopewell, as we continue to recommit to serving God with a renewed perspective, we have witnessed God move in miraculous ways. And because of our faithfulness to God and the things of God he has met every one of our needs, individually and collectively. Our willingness to serve the Lord without hesitation has increased our faith and confidence in God. As Paul reminded the saints at Corinth to make glorifying God the priority of their life, I exhort each of us to continue to lift up our God through our character and conduct. Therefore, let us glorify God both through our living, serving, and giving. In fact, when we consider all Christ has done for us to secure our eternal life, how can we do anything less?

Here we are again, preparing to commemorate our 34 years of Pastoral service, and I want to thank President Gloria Wallace and the Pastor’s Anniversary Committee (PAC) in advance for all they have planned, as well as everyone for all acts of kindness, and heartfelt presentations, we shall receive during this year’s celebration. Again, I remind you of the words of Sis. Stanley, “People Don’t Have to be nice, It’s a Choice”. Hopewell, words are inadequate to explain how thankful and grateful I am to serve as your Pastor for thirty-four (34) years. As I said before I don’t know how much longer we will serve, but I do know that we will continue to serve with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, until that time.

Hopewell, Let me say nothing would please us more than to see you attend as many scheduled events as possible as we celebrate thirty-four (34) years of service.

So, as always, I ask humbly that you continue to honor our covenant, to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Recommitted to Serving God,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
