Pastor’s Perspective October 2022

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4  Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5  For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:  (Philip. 1:3-6)

Hopewell, the words of the Apostle Paul to the Philippian Church express my sentiments for all acts of kindness again demonstrated to the First Family. We consider ourselves extremely blessed to provide leadership for such a wonderful congregation. Your demonstration of love is not only manifested during the Pastoral Anniversary, but all year long, and I am convinced that your kindness will be reciprocated. THANK YOU!

As we enter the month of October, we are continuing to experience some unusual and unprecedented times. I am thankful to God for the success we have experienced with our church regathering. I want to thank everyone who have regathered and for those who are soon to join us. While things will never be as they once were, they will certainly be better and more efficient.

I want to encourage everyone as we come to the close of this year to seriously consider returning by 2023. Some members have not returned to church in over a year and a half, and I know there is a desire to be a part of the in-person worship and your presence is missed. So, I look forward to fellowshipping with you soon.

Hopewell, let us prepare to witness God do some even greater things in our midst. Because of our faithfulness to Kingdom Building by Birth the reality of erecting our wings is coming into view, and I want to thank everyone for your continual prayer and support.

In closing I want to encourage everyone to plan to be a part of our I-Shift service on fifth Sunday October 30th, it is going to be a tremendous blessing for every family and person present.

Hopewell, as I enter my 34th year of Pastoral service again I ask you to honor our covenant and follow me even as I follow Christ.

Progressing in the Light and Power of God’s Word,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
