Pastor’s Perspective January 2024

Pastor’s Perspective January 2024

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.  (Psalm 119:160)

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (Jn. 4:24)

Hopewell, we have entered the New Year with contagious enthusiasm and complete expectation, and we are positioned and poised to extend the kingdom and make a salvific difference in the world. This is the year for each of us to witness God manifest His power as we adhere to The Word and adore Him in Worship. The Psalmist reminds us that God’s Word is authentic and accurate in its origin and will endure until the end.

Hopewell, as we abide in the Word of God, we can expect God to manifest his presence and power in our life. We also can expect God to manifest himself to us as we worship Him in spirit and in truth as Jesus told the woman at the well. Therefore, let us walk in the expectation that God will reveal to us the things that can hinder us from experiencing His power.

Hopewell, I am excited to announce that in addition to our I-Shift service, this year we are going to introduce our Visionary Men of Valor/ Virtuous Women of Victory 2.0 worship service. Our first service will be in April. The men will serve on the third Sunday and the women will serve on the fourth. I am anticipating God to move and manifest His power in a mighty way.

In Closing, I want to encourage everyone to commit to giving sacrificially to our Kingdom Building by Birth. As you know we are in the process of renovating Hopewell West to reflect the generations of our youth. If every member and honorary member participates, we will achieve our goal once again.

Hopewell, as always, I ask that you continue to honor our covenant to follow me, even as I follow Christ.

Manifesting The Power Of God,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
