Pastor’s Perspective January 2023

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Rom. 12:2)

Hopewell, let me begin by saying, Hallelujah!!! I began with a High Praise because we have finally reached the year of recommitting ourselves to serving God with renewed perspective. While we have navigated through the past two years effectively without losing any significant enthusiasm, like every church, our in-person fellowship has been interrupted. I refuse to accept the narrative that all church attendance will be decreased by 40% because of the pandemic, therefore, I am determined to make sure that Hopewell will not be a part of that statistic. Therefore, I am asking every member to commit to attending our Sunday Corporate Worship Service, as well as our Tuesday Inspirational Service. While there are some members who are unable to attend, it is important to faithfully livestream these services.

I want to thank our Women’s and Men’s Christian Growth and Development Zoom Class for accepting the challenge of maintaining 100 participants. I also want to encourage everyone to be faithful to all of our Zoom platforms that are designed to develop you spiritually.

As you know we are only two months away from our time of sacrificial giving, and I want to encourage everyone to commit to giving the amount you have been asked for your birth month. God has blessed us to meet our goal each year since we began, and I am confident that we will achieve it again.

Hopewell, again I am extremely excited about all God has in store for us this year and I know if each of us commit to this year’s theme we will receive and experience it all.

So, as always, I ask that you maintain your covenant with me and follow me even as I follow Christ.

Recommitting to a Renewed Perspective,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
