Pastor’s Perspective August 2023

Pastor’s Perspective August 2023

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Gal. 6:9)

Hopewell, I am overwhelmed with praise and thanksgiving for how God continue to bless us as we regather to worship Him in Spirit and Truth. I want to thank each of you for Recommitting to Serving God with a Renewed Perspective. I am sure you will agree that our worship has been wonderful, and our fellowship has been fruitful.  We can attest that prayer has been Powerful, Praise has been Plentiful, and the Proclamation has been Purposeful. For this I can only say, “To God be The Glory!”

Once again Hopewell we have made the Founders of this great Church smile from Glory. Not only have we shown homage to them for their vision and enormous sacrifice, but we have demonstrated our willingness to continue to build on the sturdy foundation they have laid. Again, I want to thank everyone for your financial support toward the renovation of Hopewell West for our youth. And I also want to thank those in advance who have committed to contribute.

As the apostle Paul said in (Gal. 6:9) in the (MSG) version “So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up or quit. Hopewell, for seventy-seven (77) years this great ministry has risen to every occasion and achieved every objective to serve the present age. Therefore, let us not allow fatigue to stagnate us, but rather allow our faith in God and one another to unify and strengthen us.

So, I would like to close with a word of thanks from Paul’s letter to the Church of Thessalonia in (1Thess. 5:18) In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Hopewell, Thank you for your love, Thank you for your prayers, Thank you for your patience, Thank you for your transparency, Thank you for your support, and most of all Thank you for following me even as I follow Christ. Thank You!

Recommitting to Serving God,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
