Pastor’s Perspective August 2022

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.  (Psalm 133:1-3)

Hopewell, we’ve done it again; we have unified and accomplished our objective. I want to thank every member for your sacrificial gift, no matter the amount. God is truly manifesting himself in our midst and all I can say is the best is yet to come. The words of David in Psalm 133, we see a picture of the impact that unity can have wherever two or three come together in a spirit of unity. God has declared that he commands His blessings upon those who operate in unity. And Hopewell, if we continue to be faithful to God and the things of God, we shall witness and experience greater Blessings. Praise Our God!

Hopewell, as we approach almost Three (3) years of living with COVID-19 and its variants, we have made significant strides and purposeful progress. And while we are still adjusting to our new normal, we have arrived at a place where it is important for us to be intentional and supportive in the opportunities for ministries that are available.

Therefore, I am asking for all women and men to participate in all scheduled zoom classes and prayer conferences. We are also planning a quarterly gathering for us to come together for an in-person fellowship. Hopewell, these gathering are essential and designed to fortify our ministry as well as strengthen and develop us spiritually. So, let us commit to being instrumental in our support and participation.

In closing, I want to encourage every registered voter to please cast yours on election day (August 23). This primary is extremely important and will have a major impact on our community.

And as always, I ask that you continue to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Progressing in The Light and Power of God’s Word,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
