Pastor’s Perspective November 2023

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. (Psalm 75:1)

Hopewell, in spite of all that is happening in the world today we have so much to be thankful for. God has given us a promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that He will remain with us until the end of the ages. Therefore, we can walk in the confidence of knowing that all that we are witnessing and experiencing is working together for our ultimate good.

Knowing this, we are exhorted by the Psalmist Asaph to give God thanks not only for what he has done, but for what he is going to do. Hopewell, God is standing near us, and He declares His name through his wondrous work. So, this Thanksgiving let us give God the thanks He deserves through serving others.

I am so excited to announce that we will be able to resume our annual Goodwill Thanksgiving Feast celebration, and I am asking every member to invite your family and friends to this wonderful celebration of Faith, Fellowship, and Food. I want to Thank Min. Habersham and the outreach Ministry, all Ministries and Auxiliaries, as well as the entire congregation for your participation and support.

I am expecting God to move in a miraculous way as we share the Love of God through fervent worship and genuine benevolence.

Hopewell, I also want to thank you for your continual faithfulness to regathering in corporate worship and I am confident that those who are still livestreaming will return soon. Also, I want to thank each of you for your abundant sacrificial giving, and I encourage you to continue to give liberally according to the ability God has blessed us with.

Hopewell, as always, I ask each of you to continue to honor the covenant to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Recommitting to Serving God,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
