Pastor’s Perspective January 2026

Happy New Year!!!

Hopewell, we are off to an excellent start! Our New Year’s Celebration was truly uplifting as we came together to praise God for His abundant grace and the powerful ways He intervened in our lives throughout 2025. Now as we commenced our journey of “Progressing with a New Divine Directive.” I am filled with anticipation for all that God will instruct and lead us to accomplish this year.

First and foremost, I urge every member to make it a priority to attend our services as often as possible. Psalm 133 reminds us that when we unite together, God’s favor and blessings abound. Therefore, let us be intentional about gathering, so we can fully embrace the blessings God has promised to us in unity.

Next, I encourage everyone to invite your family and friends to join our 3G ministry. We all know someone in this demographic who could benefit from this meaningful and transformative ministry. The 3G ministry is essential to our church’s future as we strive to serve the needs of this present age.

I’m also thrilled to announce our “I-Shift Intergeneration” service. Every fifth Sunday, the 3G ministry will join us for worship, where we’ll discuss topics relevant and helpful for every generation! This special gathering is going to be AWESOME!!!

In addition, we are committed to paying off the remaining balance on our mortgage. And with everyone’s dedication and support, we’ll celebrate this achievement alongside our 80^th Church Anniversary in July.

So, Hopewell, I ask each of you to commit to following the Divine Directives that are given to us from God. And let us strengthen our covenant that has been the bonding agent for our relationship for over 36 years: “Follow me even as I follow Christ”.
