Pastor’s Perspective January 2025

Pastor’s Perspective January 2025

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Hopewell, I am still elephant excited and hippopotamus happy about all God is going to allow us to do in 2025. I am convinced that everyone who heard the New Year’s Eve message is committed to reaching for a year of Personal Spiritual Development, Perpetual Spiritual Dedication, and Practical Spiritual Devotedness.

As many of you know, I consider our theme for each year from the last two numbers of that year. In the Bible, the number 25 is associated with divine grace, forgiveness, and redemption. The number 5 symbolizes God’s grace, while the number 2 represents union or partnership. When combined, the number 25 signifies God’s grace working in partnership with humanity for redemption and forgiveness. Furthermore, in the book of Joshua, chapter 10, verse 13, the sun stood still for a whole day during a battle. The numerical value of the phrase “the sun stood still” in Hebrew is 25, indicating the breath of God, which is associated with the Holy Spirit, showcasing God’s power over creation and his ability to intervene in extraordinary ways. Therefore, the number 25 in the Bible conveys a message of God’s abundant grace and mercy, his willingness to forgive, and his desire for reconciliation with humanity. As well as his ability to intervene in extraordinary ways.

Therefore Hopewell, I am convinced that this is the year for us to experience God’s Abundant grace and intervening power. So, throughout the year we will examine God’s abundant grace. Grace to serve, grace to give, grace to forgive, and the sufficiency of God’s grace in every area of our life. This year we will also witness God’s intervening power. We shall witness God make ways out of no way, open close doors, tear down walls, break every chain, and cause us to triumph over Trump. I want to encourage every member to commence this year determined to let nothing or nobody prevent you from being the best version of yourself in Christ Jesus you can be.

I am also excited about the 3-G renovation that will begin this month. Again, I want to thank everyone for your support and sacrificial gifts. And I want to thank everyone who will participate in the demolition. Our Youth Ministry is about to be revolutionized. THANK YOU!

Hopewell let’s experience God’s Abundant Grace and intervening Power together, and as always, I ask that you honor our covenant, to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Experiencing God’s Abundant Grace,
Pastor R.C. Stanley
