Pastor’s Perspective December 2025

Pastor’s Perspective December 2025

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11)

Hopewell, as we approach the close of another year, we find ourselves once again stepping into December. While the past months have been marked by commitment, excitement, and new beginnings, I believe December will bring even more of these blessings. So, welcome to what I call “Delectable December.”

This month promises a litany of uplifting experiences for us all. First, on December 13th, we will hold our annual Angel Tree Program. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported our Prison Ministry by purchasing gifts and lifting up each child in prayer. Your generosity is making a real difference in young lives.

Of course, on December 25th, Christmas morning at 8:00 a.m., we will gather for our Happy Birthday Jesus celebration. This is our opportunity to remind the world that Christ is the Cause for Christmas. Again, I am asking every member to give a sacrificial gift of one hundred ($100.00) dollars or whatever you are able to give in honor of this celebration.

And then on December 31st at 7:00 p.m., we will gather for our New Year’s Eve service to Reflect, Remember, and Rejoice for all the things God has done in 2025 as we prepare to enter into 2026 with enormous expectation. Therefore, let us invite as many of our family members and friends as possible as we gather to praise our God from whom all blessings flow.

Hopewell, let us commit to closing out this final month in 2025, by finishing strong and attending all of our worship and Tuesday Inspirational services, as well as our Zoom sessions. And as always, I ask that you continue to honor our covenant to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Experiencing God’s Abundant Grace,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
