Pastor’s Perspective June 2026

Pastor’s Perspective June 2026

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thess. 5:18)

Hopewell, we have so much to be thankful for. God continues to bestow His favor and blessings upon us. We just concluded a month that was saturated with praise and progress. God has manifested Himself each time we have assemble in His presence, and many of us have been strengthened and delivered. And the month of June will be a continuation of what we experienced in May. So, let us approach this month with a spirit of thanksgiving, as Paul declared let us be thankful in everything we do, for this is the will of God.

This month, we are proud to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2026. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Norice Calloway and the Scholarship Committee for their unwavering dedication and hard work. We are extremely blessed to have our own Retired Judge Llona M. Holmes to be our speaker this year. She has served on the bench in Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit Court for 24 years. Her judicial career began in May 1995 and was elevated to the Circuit Court in June 1998. I am confident that she will challenge, inspire, equip and empower our graduates with nuggets of wisdom and a blueprint for achieving enduring success. I also want to encourage every member to support our graduates with our presence and by contributing financially in accordance with your academic degree.

As you know, this month we are honoring the remarkable fathers within our congregation. I encourage our children and their mothers to show the same love and gratitude to our fathers that was so generously expressed to our mothers on Mother’s Day. “Thank you so much!”

And finally, as we look forward to our upcoming 80th Church anniversary next month, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has generously given toward eliminating our mortgage. If you haven’t had the opportunity to contribute yet, I encourage you to consider giving your gift this month. Thank you for your continued support.

Hopewell as always, I ask that you continue to follow me even as I follow Christ.

Progressing with a Fresh Divine Perspective,

Pastor R. C. Stanley
