Pastor’s Perspective August 2025

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. (Psalm 105:1)

Hopewell, again I am reminded of the wonderful 79th Church Anniversary Celebration. I am overwhelmed by the favor God has bestowed upon this ministry in just 79 years. And I am also amazed by how God continues to bless us as we move through the 21st Century. I want to thank everyone for responding by giving sacrificially to reaching our stated goal. Therefore, in the words of the Psalmist it is appropriate to give thanks to the LORD, to call out his name and make his deeds known among the people. Let us never be mute when it comes to declaring all the great things God has done for us, and this great ministry. Well, here we are in the 8th month of the year. As you know the number 8 symbolizes new beginnings, resurrection, and regeneration. It represents a move beyond the completion or perfection symbolized by the number 7.

Therefore, welcome to Abundant August! Through our Great God we are going to increase and move beyond all we have completed and accomplished. I thank God for how we are regathering to our Morning Worship, and Tuesday Inspirational services during post COVID. But during the month of August, I am expecting an even greater restoring. I encourage you to reach out to all your Brothers and Sisters who have perhaps become too comfortable at Bedside Baptist. While we are thankful that we are able to live stream, live-streaming was never designed to take the place of assembling together.

Also, this is the month we will begin to organize our 3G Impact Ministry. Even though the renovation has been slightly delayed, it is God’s way of making sure that we dot every I, and cross every T. The Dedication and Inaugural services will take place after September. However, in the meantime I am asking our Gen Z’s, Alpha’s, and Beta’s to prepare to be a part of a one-of-a-kind ministry that is going to have an impact on our community for years to come. I am also asking all parents to assist in making sure that our children are present at every gathering that is designed to develop them holistically.

So, Hopewell, let us enter into this month with our spiritual sleeves pulled up prepared to move beyond all we have completed and accomplished. And as always, I ask that you follow me even as I follow Christ.

Experiencing God’s Intervening Power,

Pastor R.C. Stanley
