Message From Sis. Alene Stanley, The Pastor’s Wife

Ladies of Hopewell,

The Women’s Ministry will host a Father’s Day breakfast on Saturday, June 8th. Our objective is to acknowledge, celebrate and appreciate the faithful fathers in the congregation.

We will take a break for the summer. Therefore, no activities or events are schedule for the month of July. But please save the date and stay ready for our August event. On Saturday, August 10th at 10am, we will celebrate the New Era Women: 8 Women who served the Early Church through Evangelism and Discipleship.

Ladies, did you know that you’re a lostologist? God doesn’t want us to judge the lost, blog about the lost, talk about the lost, but God has called us to find the lost! He’s called us to be “Lostologist.”

I love the story of the woman who washed Jesus’ feet at the home of Simon, a Pharisee and self-righteous judge. Simon had invited Jesus to dinner, and the woman entered the home and washed Jesus’ feet, a sign of hospitality, something Simon hadn’t offered Jesus. As she was washing his feet, Jesus looked at the woman but asked Simon, “Do you see this woman?” How odd. Simon was sitting right there beside Jesus. How could he not see the woman? Yet, Jesus asked, “Do you see this woman?” How many times do we look but not see? Who do you look at every day, but not see? Who in your world is lost and needs to be seen, and introduced to Jesus? Let’s join Jesus in finding the lost sheep, in sharing compassion. Let’s be Lostologists!

To all the godly and committed fathers who have sacrificed so much for their children. You are role models and heroes, who are providers and protectors. We acknowledge you as men of valor and pray for joy, peace and happiness during this Father’s Day celebration.

HIS love and Mine,

Alene Stanley
